Renewing Steel Shaft with Laser Cladding

We helped a heavy equipment manufacturer revive a large worn out steel shaft with laser cladding. The shaft was a large articulating pin, 5″ in diameter and needed .050″ built up over a 6″ long section—so our customer could then grind it back to a clean finish.
